This little Mockingbird is already imprinted, I’m Mom. Someone picked him up to “rescue” him, but brought him to me. He was dehydrated so Pedialyte has done wonders. Water would work too. But what is his future? I can’t teach him how to find food, so once released he starves. I can’t teach him what to fear, so a cat or dog can walk right up to him. I can’t teach him that he is a Mockingbird. So how does he find a mate? Oh and he demands food every hour of the day. Not any big deal for just one but multiply that time 10 or 100.
This is the down side and the reality of rescuing these little birds. Please, just put out water and let their parent raise them.
