I want to clarify and educate. A Night Hawk is not a hawk but a Whippoorwill. It may look like a hawk by coloration. It is small and looks like a strange hawk UNTIL it opens it’s mouth. It has a tiny beak and a mouth that opens from ear to ear. They are harmless bug eaters.
This is an adult and has a small injury that will heal well and soon it will be released. Thank You to Weatherford Animal Control for the rescue.
