To the very nice Wisconsin truck driver that called me about a roadrunner. You said it was running around the truck yard parking lot and was in terrible feather. You said it was eating scraps of food on the ground. I really appreciate the effort you went to to find me and for caring about a bird. Birds are near and dear to my heart. You described the bird very well and I was able to find it running round under the trucks and eating whatever it found on the ground.
I did not capture it because it was a grackle and part of a group that make their way very well in parking lots eating scraps. Thank you for trying.
