Yesterday Maya the 12 year old Blue and Gold Macaw, went to her new foster home. If she is a good girl and doesn’t eat the furniture, she may be adopted.
Here is Nick’s note and some photos of his new girlfriend, Maya.
She is settling in, and is a little irritated as would be expected. I put the outdoor macaw setup next to the window that Bubba looks out of. She has already eaten a banana and is eyeballing the carrots, apples, and nuts that are in her bowl. The hounds were very curious until they realized it was another macaw, then they all sat down and started to beg from her.
