p.s. ‘Joocey’ is my current foster bird who I am hoping to rehabilitate. You may get to meet her at Prairie Fest. She’s a beautiful Mini-macaw who has been grieving the loss of her bird-parent and has plucked out many of her feathers. In spite of that – her personality is such that she radiates her inner beauty, helping to dim the sadness you are inclined to feel when you see HER sadness manifested by plucking. Hopefully all she needs is love because we have plenty of that to give!
