Bailey, Male Solomon Island Eclectus

Bailey just arrived at Bird Tails and he is a hoot! Well, actually he sounds more like the horn on a little kids tricycle. He is friendly and talks. I turned him loose and he likes to take walks, but can fly really well. Bailey is the male counter part to Roxy but is emerald green with a big yellow beak.

Bailey has plucked his chest bare but we shall see how well he re-feathers. There are infinite reasons for birds pulling out their own feathers, it just takes time to find something that works. Bailey was put with a female eclectus and she apparently attacked him. That sounds like a real stresser to me! So now on his own with no other birds to beat him up and lots of human contact he should recover. He needs his own humans.
Bailey is available for adoption through Petfinder.com/Wingsoflove.
