I just got this note today. Sunday Freddy was returned and left agin with his new foster parents. Read this:

Last nite was great. I swapped out his food and water bowls. I purchased some food that was specific to macaws, it’s got nuts, and dried fruits and stuff, and he really seemed to like it. He pretty much attacked it, and was pigging out. I also got some Cheeto Puffs and he liked those too. After I let him settle down from swapping his bowl out, I tried to get him to step up, but he wasn’t interested, so I just left his cage door open. It took him all of 5 minutes to get out the door and start playing around on the door. We also have a cat, the cat doesn’t know what to think about Freddy. I think he’s a little jealous. Well anyway, the cat was sitting in his rocking chair, which isn’t too far from Freddy’s cage. We were a little concerned initially, until Freddy got down on the floor and started stalking the cat. We shoo’d Freddy back to his cage. A few minutes later he was in the center of his cage with his foot up. I am also a amateur radio operator, trying to learn morse code, I was about to go back to my radio room, when I noticed him with his foot up, so I walked over and offered my hand, and he stepped right up, like he did at Jean’s place. It was GREAT! we walked around the house and showed him all the rooms. I almost missed my practice time, so I took him into the radio room, and put him on the back of my chair. Apparently Freddy is into morse code. He kept looking at the radio and then back at me. I started telling him the letters I was receiving. I’m farily certain he’ll have his license in no time.

This morning we went thru our routine again, and after getting dressed I went over to his cage, and he just looked like he wanted to go out again. I offered my hand and he stepped right up! I took him to the bathroom where Debi was getting ready and he stepped up onto her arm with out us even prompting him. Debi was a little nervous and running a little late, so I took Freddy back and carried him around the house a couple more times, and then had to put him back, so I wouldn’t be too late to work. I promised him I be back and take him out again as soon as possible.

I can’t convey how amazing Freddy is, and how awesome it is to spend time with him.
