Dr. Jenna McCullough from the University of New Mexico, gathered dead birds and information about the massive die off of small song birds. US Fish and Wildlife, she reported, did the necropsy on many birds and found Salmonella. Wildlife departments in the USA north east and central costal areas are reporting massive die off of songbirds, all of whom are emaciated but give not definitive information on the cause.
Generally reporting to empty bird feeders and baths as the source of the bird contamination.
