I am baking “Birdy Bread” today for all the new additions to the Sanctuary. We had bushels of fresh produce donated over the weekend so we have been freezing , chopping and baking. Today a new addition was Roxy, a female ( males are green) Solomon Island Eclectus, yesterday we added Peaches a love bird and last week a young pair of nanday conures. They are all settling in and I am learning what each of them prefers to eat.

My Birdy Bread is corn meal, oat meal, dried blueberries. dried egg shells, eggs, apples, pears, zucchini, macadamia nuts and a few other random things. The kitchen smell wonderful and when the bread cools I will freeze most for another day.
But they feast today!!
