Excellent news from our vets and the Texas A&M labs. The birds are all healthy and all cultures for communicable diseases came back NEGATIVE!! I am so please to be able to open up the bird house and stop all the extra activity associated with isolating the birds that came in from a rescue 2 weeks ago. They are physically healthy. Now to repair some of the damage from being kept in the dark and isolated. There are only a few Senegals that are still very withdrawn but the babies are just the sweetest little things and so resilient. I have a favorite, who may well be the youngest of all the senegals and it’s feathers are orange and sick out at odd angles. He says “Baby”, laughs when I laugh, and steps up on my finger.
