In June, a delightful 11 year old boy from Florida, toured the Sanctuary with his grandmother. Like every child that comes here, they want a bird, a goat or a horse. So I have begun telling them that they can have any animal in the Sanctuary and can even name it. The animal stays here, so I can take care of it, but the child gets to name it and virtually adopt the pet.
So is the case that Zeke became our first virtual virtual pet owner. Out of all the creatures here at the Sanctuary, after an hour of evaluating and inspecting, Zeke chose an all yellow cockatiel and named him BANANAS.
