Cages

I have a lot of bird cages of all sizes and an aviary. I will add photos of my cages, that are used, in good condition and all sizes. Also having built many aviaries over the years, the latest one is best, so far, but still needs revisions. We will talk about that later.

1- USED CAGES. Generally, the size of the cage depends on the kind of bird. The smaller the bird, the smaller the spacing of the bars. If you put a canary in a macaw cage it will walk through the bars, but it will enjoy the space. I tend to give more space to my birds than is routinely marketed. Ten finches in a six foot tall cage are busy and fascinating. They can live in a much smaller cage but the activity level is reduced. So give as much thought to where you are putting a cage, how big a cage you can live with and the characteristic you are seeking in a bird companion.
